Briefing on the CAPI Method Ubinan Survey

To support the need for optimal data collection, BPS is reviewing changes in data collection modes, from Paper and Pencil Interviewing (PAPI) to Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI). On Monday, July 27, 2020, BPS of the South Minahasa Regency held a Briefing on a CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) Ubinan Survey. Different from the previous method that used a paper questionnaire, in the future BPS in conducting the Ubinan Survey will use the CAPI method by using the mobile phone Android media of field officers. The general objective of CAPI-based Ubinan is to obtain information on productivity (yields per hectare) of rice commodities and other supporting information, such as coordinates of the location of tiles, planting methods, planting systems, legowo row planting systems, fertilizer use, pest control, etc. other. It also aims to apply the online data collection system with integrated survey management starting from data collection, validation, monitoring (tabulation), and household sample collection.
