Abstract

In March 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in South Minahasa Regency of 6.29 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.82.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 12.94 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance groups by 5.10 percent; health groups by 4.67 percent; transportation groups by 0.14 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 7.86 percent; education groups by 0.16 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply groups by 4.11 percent; and personal care and other services groups by 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation were the clothing and footwear group by 2.40 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.55 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.21 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate of South Minahasa Regency in March 2024 amounted to 0.53 percent and 1.21 percent, respectively.
