Abstract

In June 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in South Minahasa Regency of 7.53 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.10.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 15.94 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 2.34 percent; health group by 1.99 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 15.35 percent; education group by 0.16 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 4.71 percent; and personal care and other services group by 1.96 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: clothing and footwear group by 2.25 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.22 percent; transportation group by 0.06 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.86 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate of South Minahasa Regency in June 2024 amounted to 0.38 percent and 0.04 percent, respectively.
