Development of Consumer Price Index of South Minahasa Regency August 2024

In August 2024, South Minahasa Regency year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 7.75 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.61.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 17.56 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.22 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.19 percent; health group by 1.99 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 12.77 percent; education group at 0.16 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.85 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: clothing and footwear at 4.52 percent; transportation group by 0.06 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.94 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.07 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for South Minahasa Regency in August 2024 are 0.15 percent and 0.49 percent respectively.
