Abstract

In July 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in South Minahasa Regency of 6.68 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.77.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 14.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.21 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance groups by 2.53 percent; health groups by 1.99 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 1.69 percent; education groups by 0.16 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply groups by 4.71 percent; and personal care and other services groups by 1.21 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: clothing and footwear group by 2.68 percent; transportation group by 0.06 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.93 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate of South Minahasa Regency in July 2024 amounted to 0.30 percent and 0.34 percent, respectively.
