Abstract

In October 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in South Minahasa Regency of 5.29 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.43.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 11.82 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.68 percent; the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.07 percent; the health group by 1.84 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.69 percent; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 4.85 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation were the clothing and footwear group by 5.41 percent; transportation group by 0.22 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.94 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.48 percent. The education group experienced no change in the expenditure group index.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate of South Minahasa Regency in October 2024 were 0.92 percent and 0.65 percent, respectively.
